The new image of Hiroshima City
In a town where rumor had it that "nothing will grow for 75 years," people returned and rebuilt their lives. In the late 1940s and early 50s, the frame of a new city was built. After 1955, that new city took shape with the appearance of Peace Park and Peace Boulevard. As the dream envisioned in the late 40s began to develop, the future Hiroshima emerged.
Hiroshima was reborn through the hard work of its residents aided by caring individuals and the climate of the times.
