Presentation of Research Results on Nuclear Trends
On December 2 (Sun), 2012, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum Document Research Association's Research Presentation Session was held, with presentations given by five researchers. There were around sixty people in attendance.

Norioki Ishimaru: Association Member (Representative, Hiroshima Shoji, Chiiki Saisai research institute)
  Mr. Ishimaru gave a talk centered on the draft plan Kenzo Tange presented in England, entitled "Kenzo Tange's Plan for Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park: Planned Area and Content"

Kenji Kitagawa: Association Member (Professor Emeritus, Hiroshima University)
  Mr. Kitagawa gave a report on destinations that one can find in school excursion leaflets, entitled "Trends Among Students Visiting Hiroshima on School Excursions".

Masami Nishimoto: Association Member (Editorial committee member, Chugoku Shimbun)
  Mr. Nishimoto spoke about what Japanese and American newspapers reported immediately after the atomic bombing, in a presentation entitled "Viewing the Start of Atomic Bombing Media Coverage".

Kazumi Mizumoto: Vice-President (Vice-President, Hiroshima Peace Institute, Hiroshima City University)
  Mr. Mizumoto provided an analysis of the international situation after the reelection of President Obama and recent trends regarding nuclear weapons in Japan, entitled "Recent Trends and Tone Regarding Nuclear Weapons".

Akimasa Yokoyama: Association Member (Professor Emeritus, Hiroshima Jogakuin University)
  Mr. Yokoyama provided an explanation of pictures of the atomic bombing drawn by citizens of Hiroshima together with a commentary on the feelings incorporated into the pictures, in a talk entitled "The Importance of 'A-Bomb Drawings by Citizens'".

About the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum Document Survey and Research Association
Established in 1998. Comprised of experts from various fields including physics, history and international relations. Results of research are reflected in displays and other areas at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
