Multilingual site for disaster information
When the torrential rain disaster occurred in July 2018, this Foundation set up a multilingual site to provide information related to the disaster to foreign residents of Hiroshima. Information has been provided via the International Exchange and Cooperation Division's homepage since July 9.
We worked together with the City of Hiroshima to select the information to be provided through the site, and had the information translated by disaster interpreter volunteers registered with the City and interpreting consultants who work with this Foundation.
Recovery activities are still continuing even now in Hiroshima City and surrounding areas. We aim to continue to provide support, to alleviate the anxiety and concerns about daily living that foreign residents who were affected by the disaster are experiencing.
