　　　　Daily Life Counseling Corner for Foreign Residents of Hiroshima City

On May 15, 2009, the City of Hiroshima set-up a “Daily Life Counseling Corner for Foreign Residents
(Gaikokujin-shimin no Seikatsu Soudan Corner)” in the International Exchange Lounge on the
first floor of the International Conference Center(Kokusai Kaigi Jo), staffed by translators and counselors.

Due to the recent economic downturn, many foreign temporary workers have been laid off and are experiencing increased unease related to their situation.  In order to help out non-Japanese citizens who do not have a strong grasp of Japanese, a multilingual consultation service has been available.  They also provide information to help ease the worries associated with everyday living.

You can receive consultation services in Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese by phone or by coming to the International Exchange Lounge.
