Changes due to the renovation works of the Museum East Building

Due to the renovation works, the exhibition rooms of the Museum East Building are closed until the East Building's reopening on April 26, 2017. The Main Building is open to visitors while the East Building is being renovated. We apologize any inconvenience that may cause and ask your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

The location of the entrance remains in the East Building. The summary panels of the closed East Building are displayed in the gallery of the Main Building.

Walking tours within the museum by Hiroshima Peace Volunteers are not provided. However, Peace volunteers explain certain exhibits in the Main Building as well as walking tours in Peace Memorial Park.

Visitors 65 years and older can enter the museum for 100 yen by showing their passport.

From the JR Hiroshima Station (South exit),
By bus: Take a Hiroshima Bus (red bus) bound for Yoshijima and get off at
Heiwa Kinen Koen (Peace Memorial Park).
By streetcar: Take a streetcar bound for Hiroshima Port (Ujina) via Kamiyacho, get off at
Chuden-Mae (front of Chugoku Electric Power Co.) or,
take a streetcar bound for Eba or Miyajima-guchi and get off at
Genbakudomu-mae (the A-bomb Dome).
