The Nakajima district around 1935. The large roof on the right is Jisenji Temple. The bridge on the upper left is the Motoyasu Bridge. Some of the oyster boats for which Hiroshima is famous float on the Motoyasu River.

This photo was taken by the Hoshita Photo Studio, the second store upstream of the Motoyasu Bridge. The picture was donated by the owner of the Katayama Photo Studio, four stores up from the bridge.
