The damage done by the atomic bomb was
just too terrible, giving rise to the deeply rooted belief that nuclear weapons
and humankind cannot coexist indefinitely. The idea was, A-bomb's not allowed.

The atomic bomb was a weapon used in war. To make sure it is not used a third
time, it is important to eliminate nuclear weapons from the face of the earth
and be determined never to fight with another nation. The walk toward peace,
however small the thing, it starts there.
