Materials and Documents of the bombing

At 8:15 on the morning of August 6, 1945, the world's first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. Almost the entire city was devastated in that single moment at a tremendous cost of thousands of human lives. Among those killed were people mobilized to demolish buildings near the city center. In many cases, the bodies of these victims could not be identified and only a few personal possessions could be returned to the surviving relatives.
