Notification of death
(donated by Yoshinori Kuniwake)
"This is the notification of death of four family members."
The Peace Memorial Museum collects and preserves a variety of materials related to the A-bombing that have been kept by atomic bomb survivors and their families, as important materials that help communicate the reality of the atomic bombing.
In fiscal year 2016, there were 638 new donations from 54 people.
A portion of these articles are on display.
As 73 years have now passed since the end of the war, it is becoming more and more difficult to collect detailed information regarding atomic bombing artifacts and items.
The Museum will continue to communicate in the future the various damage caused by the atomic bombing, with the aim of achieving the abolition of nuclear weapons.
The Museum appreciates donations of atomic bombing artifacts.
