Blouse worn by Kikuyo Shimokubo at the time of the bombing
"This blouse was a wedding present to Kikuyo from her sister Tomiko, who was good at dressmaking. The white silk blouse was covered in blood stains, which could never be washed away."

The Collection Exhibition section displays items picked out on a certain subject from the approximately 20,000 artifacts in the museum's collection.
On August 6, 1945, a single atomic bomb turned the city of Hiroshima to rubble in an instant. Many people were exposed to large amounts of radiation, suffered burns to their body, and died in great pain.
This exhibition shows items owned by three women who died at the age of twenty-three.
