Atomic bomb testimonies translated into multiple languages
At the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, efforts are being made to have as many overseas visitors as possible understand the truth of the damage from the atomic bombing.
Visitors from overseas are increasing every year, and account for twenty percent of all visitors. At the Memorial Hall, atomic bomb testimonies have been translated into multiple languages, as it is thought that people will understand even better if they read the testimonies in their mother tongue. Translation of the atomic bomb testimonies was started in 2009, and in the first year they were translated into ten languages. As of the end of March, 2017, they have been translated into twenty-two languages. Last year, the foreign-language content was expended, with three testimonies translated into Dutch, three into Swedish, and five into Polish.
The translated testimonies can be viewed in the foreign-language section of the Library at the Memorial Hall. Using the Search Engine for Archived Materials, visitors can browse testimonies in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean. Testimonies in Japanese as well as twenty-two other languages are also accessible via the Memorial Hall's homepage.

【Twenty-two languages available】
English, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Italian, Indonesian, Urdu, Dutch, Greek, Swedish, Spanish, Thai, German, Hindi, Tagalog, Finnish, French, Vietnamese, Polish, Portuguese, Malay, and Russian.
