At the International Exchange Lounge on the 1st floor of the International Conference Center Hiroshima, staff provide information on international exchange and cooperation activities, and other information that is useful for non-Japanese residents in their daily life.
Information is provided in both Japanese and English.
Using a Triophone service (a three-way conversation via telephone), and with support from volunteer interpreters, languages other than English are also available.
At the Consultation Service for International Residents, which is located next to the Lounge, interpreter consultants are available to help foreign residents with struggles or issues regarding daily life.
There is also a section for browsing newspapers and magazines from overseas, borrowing books and a space for studying or having meetings, and free Internet access.
Anyone is welcome to freely use the facilities.
