*11:00 am -3:00 pm: A-bomb Legacy Successor's Talk
A-bomb Legacy Successors have taken over the A-bomb survivor’s experience and give testimony on their behalf. A-bomb Legacy Successors offer lectures in which they present the A-bomb survivors’ experiences, the reality of the atomic bombing, and desires for peace. Approx. 60 min.
Hiroshima Red Cross Hospital is one of a few medical institutions which escaped destruction when Hiroshima City was devastated by the atomic bombing. Many wounded people flooded the hospital, and received treatment by surviving doctors and nurses night and day with limited equipment and medicines. This exhibition aims to convey the devastation of the atomic bombing, the stupidity of war and the preciousness of life through items depicting Hiroshima Red Cross Hospital’s relief activities in miserable conditions after the atomic bombing.
The International Conference Center Hiroshima is used for various purposes such as exhibitions and parties. Its large auditorium, which can accommodate 1,504 people, is ideal for concerts, lectures, and domestic and international conferences. The ICCH also includes the International Conference Hall, as well as small, medium, and large conference rooms. In all, the ICCH has five floors, three above ground and two basement floors.
