profileAbout Us

Our mission is to promote international exchange/cooperation and local internationalization of Hiroshima City. The Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation reorganized in April 1998 after combining with the Hiroshima International Organization (Hiroshima-shi KokusaiKoryu Kyokai) in order to better promote international understanding, cooperation and peace. The Hiroshima International Organization’s missions, programs and projects were adopted by the International Exchange and Cooperation Division of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation. This Division deepens international friendships and promotes local internationalization by holding events and seminars, providing services including a multilingual information and interpreting service, and subsidizing international exchange projects initiated by Hiroshima citizens. Please see “International Relations & Cooperation Division Projects for Fiscal Year 2016” below for details.
