Qualification guidelines and the list of municipal houses are available at the Kenchiku Ka (Building Division) of your local ward office, branch office or at the Citizens Service Corner. Please apply at one of the following divisions or prefectural associations of building maintenance between Wednesday, May 9 and Friday, May 11.

Garbage Collection on May 3 & 4

Combustibles, recyclable plastic and PET bottles will NOT be collected on May 3 and 4. However, recyclable garbage, toxic garbage, plastics other than recyclable plastic such as containers and packaging, and incombustible garbage will be collected according to schedule.

Counseling is generally only available in Japanese.

Shimin Sodan Center (Citizens Consultation Center)

The Shimin Sodan Center (Citizens’ Consultation Center) provides counselling services on the following issues free of charge. Strict confidentiality is assured.

Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, August 6, Year-end and New Year’s holidays

Regular Counseling at Ward Offices

The following counseling services are free and confidential. Counseling sessions are up to 30 minutes per person.

TIME&DAY:

1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (except counseling for threats & black mail (1:00 pm – 3:00 pm))

TO APPLY:

Reservations are required for each counseling session. Reservations are accepted from 8:30 am by telephone on each consultation day at each ward office. (For traffic accident counseling and counseling on indication of ownership registration & land property affairs reservations are accepted anytime during business hours until 10:00 am on the consultation day.) 6 people (4 people for threats / blackmail counseling) per day will be accepted for each service (first-come first-served).

- Counseling is 30 minutes/person.

- Counseling at ward offices is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, August 6, August 13 – August 16 and December 28 – January 4, but comments and requests for the city government are available on August 13-16, December 28 and January 4.
