Based on Hiroshima's experiences of the A-bombing, the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation works to disseminate pacifist thinking and to foster international mutual understanding and cooperation, with the aim of achieving lasting world peace.
Although the Foundation receives financial support from the City of Hiroshima for its operations, we also sincerely ask for donations from all those who share our mission.
■ Use of Donations and How to Donate
The fields for which we are currently accepting donations are listed below.

① Support for Peace Culture initiatives, further strengthened in connection with the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing in 2025
As we mark the 80
th anniversary of the atomic bombing and as the hibakusha grow older, the Foundation is looking ahead to the next decade and will strengthen its efforts in two key initiatives: raising international public awareness toward the abolition of nuclear weapons and providing peace education to younger generations in Japan and overseas (

Your generous donations, reflecting your heartfelt desire for peace, will be used effectively to support the Foundation's various peace-related activities outlined below.
〔Examples〕
- The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum will introduce new enhancements to its exhibits, including the "Exhibition on the Inhumanity of Nuclear Weapons" and the "Peace Education Exhibit for Children."
- The Foundation conducts peace education for junior high school students and other participants from across Japan who attend the August 6 Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony, using discussions with local Hiroshima children.
- The Foundation will strengthen its support for schools and enhance its engagement with teachers who play a leading role in promoting peace education, so that peace learning can spread nationwide and more students will choose to visit Hiroshima on their school trips as the culmination of their studies.
- The Foundation will establish a structure that enables children in Hiroshima to engage in continuous peace-related volunteer activities throughout junior high school, high school, and university, and will also support peace-culture activities within schools across Hiroshima.

Donations through "Tsunagaru Bokin"
Donations via credit card are possible through SoftBank's donation platform, "Tsunagaru Bokin".
SoftBank smartphone users can also donate by consolidating the contribution with their monthly usage charges or by using SoftBank Point.
The donation amount must be one of the following options per transaction: 100 yen, 500 yen, 1,000 yen, 3,000 yen, 5,000 yen, or 10,000 yen.
In the case of SoftBank Points, the donation can be any amount from 1 to 10,000 points.
For donations made through "Tsunagaru Bokin", there is no need to submit a donation application form.
Furthermore, we do not issue receipts or certificates of donation (for tax deduction purposes).

② Support for Mayors for Peace Activities
Donations are reserved as funding for the activities of Mayors for Peace, an organization joined by cities around the world. They will be used to help share with the global community the long-standing call of atomic bomb survivors for the abolition of nuclear weapons and to expand the circle of solidarity.
Mayors for Peace carries out activities such as the distribution and cultivation of second-generation Hibaku tree seedlings, the annual children's art competition "Peaceful Towns", the Mayors for Peace internship program, and atomic bomb poster exhibitions.

■ Tax incentives
On April 1, 2011, the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation transitioned to a Public Interest Incorporated Foundation and became a Specified Public Interest Promotion Corporation, as defined in Article 217 of the Enforcement Order of the Income Tax Act and Article 77 of the Enforcement Order of the Corporation Tax Act.
This designation is granted to entities that make significant contributions to the promotion of education or science, the advancement of culture, social welfare, or other activities in the public interest.
In Japan, donations to a Specified Public Interest Promotion Corporation are eligible for preferential tax treatment.
For details regarding such preferential treatment, please contact your tax office about income tax or corporation tax, or your local government office regarding resident tax.
